Wednesday, July 16th at 8 pm, the PFS continues our 5-year-plus series of bizarre, overlooked, and just plain unique cinema in the intimate, screening-room environment of The Sentient Bean Coffeehouse on the southern end of Forsyth Park.
This criminally unknown, no-budget bank robbery drama (think a redneck version of BONNIE & CLYDE) was made just a few years before SMOKEY & THE BANDIT and THE DUKES OF HAZZARD would come to prominence, and was ahead of the curve. Shot near Waycross, Ga. by a first-time director (who stars in the film as well after the young JEFF BRIDGES backed out), this underground sleeper gives legendary Hollywood character actor DUB TAYLOR his largest role ever, and his copious ad libs are the highlight of this film , whcih maintains a semi-documentary feel. A real find!
Only $5 for ALL AGES.
Seating begins at 7:30 pm.
