Worcester/Savannah/Worcester poet Rushelle Frazier returns to the area for a night of performance poetry and music with tour mate, Matt Fox.

Matt Fox and Rushelle Frazier are three traveling poets and musicians from Worcester (pronounced “wist-ah”) Massachusetts. They’re setting out this summer on a cross-country tour to share music, poetry, and this one really good joke we promise we remember the punch line to.

Matt Fox is an up and coming musician hailing from the rusty spot in central Massachusetts that gets called Worcester. Over the last 8 years, Matt has remained a self taught guitarist and songwriter. He plays a wide range of original acoustic tunes that manage to make their way out as something his own through a whole history of influences from all the far reaches you can think of. No show can be too intimate, and no audience too diverse. “Life is too short for cheap, contrived music.” Out of this sentiment, Matt strives to play music that goes to the heart and has something to say that matters. He has self-released an EP and one full length record.

Rushelle Frazier has been hosting poetry readings since 2001, most recently The Dirty Gerund Poetry Show. She’s a member of the 2002 Worcester Slam Team and co-coach of the 2004 Worcester Youth Slam Team. Rushelle was voted Best Female Poet at the 2006 Savannah Spoken Word Festival. She’s given readings and workshops at schools and colleges along the East coast. This spring she released her fourth chapbook, Ballad of the Unreliable Narrator.
