The Founders

Kelli Pearson

Tall and mischievous, Kelli can usually be found enjoying a good laugh with the New Yorker and rocking out to Dick Dale. Now she’s off to travel the world, but you may still catch a glimpse of her in The Bean in between adventures.

Kristin Russell

Rosie the Riveter meets Julia Child, but oh so much more. Kristin has the brains, the brawn, the best overalls, and now a business to run by herself. Yikes.

Bean Posse

John Baizley, hummus genius

Guitarist for the band Baroness, he can rock the house in true rock star fashion, but in the kitchen, he’s the wizard of our favorite recipies.

Joemy Buschur

Always ready with a jolly laugh and a sweet and saucy demeanor. What exactly is in that coffee she’s drinking? Give me some.

Linda Reno

Reno finally left us, holding the record for beanie longevity. We wish her all the best in grad school and are all watching for cheap tickets to Texas.

Rushelle Frazier, kitchen manager

A she pauses for the perfect espresso, her mind is racing with poetry and passion. Stick around for open mic night when she takes off her apron and takes to the stage.

Tate Hudson, events manager

He’s back in Savannah and back into even more action. He’s the man of the night and the dad of the daytime.. if you’re lucky you’ll meet his sidekick Lily.

Claren Jamerson

You’ll know her by her coolness, you’ll remeber her by her speed. Up for anything and down with it all, she’s a bean between her travels.

Ellen Auger

Opener extrodinaire – chances are if you’re loving your perfect scone, Ellen created it. She is also our goddess of tea.

Alison Detjens

Left us for the promise of the West Coast. Keep the snow out there. Good Luck!

Leah Squires

Ready with a smile, Leah is the most patient of baristas. She could walk your great grandma through all the cable stations.

Ronnie Cline

A travellin’ man by most accounts, fluent in a variety of languages and culture, we are thrilled that he has parked his shiny melon here for a while so we can all soak in his cosmopolitan suave.

Travis Straub

Adding to our collection of West Virginia refugees, Travis has started to enliven our menu and certainly our senses of humor.

Larz from Marz

Apparently, they have really good food on Mars, because ever since she started lurking around the kitchen we have been graced with extremely yummy and varied baked goods and heavenly soup!

Lara . . . . .Evans? Howell?

Brown lady with the orange afro? Beautiful.

Allison II

Stolen from another neighborhood eatery, we are thrilled with the youthful vigor and fantastic attitude. Feels like she’s been here years- the mark of the bean in your heart.

Lyndsey

Can the Bean save this new transplant from small town blues? Too early to tell, but if she stays as excited she has been her first week, she’ll learn to love Savannah like the rest of us.
